Deacon is a sweet 7 month old dog who had an unfortunate encounter with a rattlesnake. He was initially placed on antibiotics and pain medications. Unfortunately the venom from the snake continued to cause internal bleeding and swelling. By the time we met poor Deacon his face and eyes were swollen to twice their size. We treated Deacon with IV fluids and a plasma transfusion to get him on the road to recovery. Stay away from rattlesnakes Deacon!
